State Grid UHV AC Project for East-to-East Power Transmission from Anhui Province has been approved

　　On September 27, the National Development and Reform Commission officially issued a document approving the 1000 KV Huainan-Shanghai UHV AC transmission demonstration project from Anhui to East. This is another approved UHV AC transmission project after 1000 KV UHV AC test demonstration project in southeastern Shanxi, Nanyang and Jingmen.

 

　　Huainan-Shanghai UHV AC power transmission demonstration project is an important channel for power transmission from Anhui Lianghuai Coal and Electricity Base. It is an important power source to ensure reliable power supply in eastern China. It is also an important means to alleviate the pressure of environmental protection and land resources in eastern China and to solve the problem of 500 kilovolt short circuit capacity exceeding the standard of East China Power Grid. The project started at Huainan Substation in Anhui Province and ended at Shanghai Huxi Substation through Southern Anhui Substation, Northern Zhejiang Substation and Shanghai Huxi Substation. The total length of the double-circuit line on the same tower is 2*656 km. It is co-financed by Anhui, Zhejiang and Shanghai three power companies.
